The aim of the site is to share knowledge..

.I hope that this site will be a place where we will be able to share experiences of keeping Pionus and thus help to promote the keeping and breeding of these Parrots in captivity.
Having kept Parrots for 25 years and been succesful with Amazons, African Greys, Eclectus and Macaws, we came to Pionus rather late. The truth is that our first bird, our Blue-headed breeding hen, was given to us by a friend who has retiring from bird-keeping.
We are all indebted to the pioneering work done by the late John Stoodley and his family.
I hope we can have contributions from both inside the UK and elsewhere.

The bird in the top photo is a 2007 male Blue-headed (P.m. Menstruus) bred by us.
